Nisha Thacker

Dietitian

Nisha Thacker is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a diverse nutrition and dietetic experience. APDs are university-qualified experts in nutrition and dietetics.

Having lived in India, Toronto and Australia has made her strongly believe in the adage “You are what you eat”. The fact that food assumes significance in all cultures has been reiterated time and again in all her experiences. She understood this not only during her academic years but also during her time spent at work and as a dietetic observer in Australian and Canadian hospitals.

Nisha is passionate about health and she hopes to contribute to the goal of keeping people healthy by imparting valuable knowledge and evidence-based advice about food and nutrition. Nisha loves to cook and share her cooking experience and recipe modifications.

Qualifications and Training
  • Master of Nutrition and Dietetics (Griffith University, Australia)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics (S.N.D.T. University, Mumbai, India)
  • Bachelor of Science (Home Science: Majors in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics) (Mumbai University, India)
  • She also has formal training in Crohn’s Disease dietary therapy (includes Crohn’s Disease Exclusion Diet i.e. CDED) & Low FODMAP Dietary approach by Monash University.
